The Beit Helena Children’s Play Center provides an opportunity for an enjoyable experience that promotes the parent-child relationship, especially important for children with special needs. Professional guidance is given to the parents and professional literature may be borrowed on parenting, play, children with special needs, and more.
The play center has a gymboree, a games room, a computer room, arts and crafts room, an imagination room and a library. These areas enable the child to come into contact with a variety of physical activities and emotional experiences.
The uniqueness of the Beit Helena Children’s Play Center is the interaction between the parents and their children. The active presence of the parents is a necessary condition for entrance to the center.
Who is Eligible?
Children with mild developmental delays, sensorimotor difficulties, learning disabilities, language and communication difficulties, ages 0-9, from the Jerusalem area
Yad Sarah House, 124 Herzl Blvd, Jerusalem, 7th floor.
Mornings: activities for children between birth and 3 years old
Afternoons: activities for children aged 3-9
Important to Know
Referral s to the play center must be by professionals who have a therapeutic or educational relationship with the child.
On Thursday afternoons the playground is open to the general public. Must be arranged in advance.
In the morning, the playground is open to groups/kindergartens/ classes.
